Fitness Accomplishment:

  I think my greatest accomplishment has been making a consistent, long term effort towards losing weight and getting into shape. It is easy to join a gym, show up a few times, and fade off. It is really hard to make it a routine and lifestyle change.

What is your motivation to stay in shape? My motivation is definitely the fear of negative progress towards my fitness and weight goals. I have come a long way and would hate to slide backwards.

What is your greatest challenge to staying in shape? I think there are many factors; I can’t single our just one thing. Busy work schedules, the difficulty of managing diet, finding time to work out, etc. There are hundreds of excuses to use when it comes to not working out regularly.

What is the key to your success? Consistency. I am creature of habit by nature. I knew going in that for this to work I would have to completely overhaul my routine. I have and it has really worked for me.

What have you liked about training with your Wildfire Fitness trainer and how has it affected your life? There are many positive things. Having someone in front of you, pushing and encouraging you to work hard is great. You will definitely push yourself more than if you are at a gym on your own schedule. Additionally, if I am working out alone, I probably wouldn’t be choosing to do burpees. Having someone to monitor your form and find areas that should be focused on is a huge thing for me. The variety of different workout routines that are introduced has also been a great learning experience for me. It definitely helps to have an array of new exercises available to you on the days that you end up working out solo. Wildfire Fitness has helped me push my level of ability far beyond my initial expectations when I set my fitness goals.

What advice do you give others about fitness? Set realistic goals, give yourself plenty of time to meet them, and stick to a consistent routine. The results don’t happen overnight and will take lots of effort, but are well worth it.
